Acseni® Configuration & Data Management System |
Acseni (in the configuration manager version) was first released in October 1994 under the tradename "ASI Echelon". Minor enhancements have been released during April 1995 and November 1995. The Data Manager (file library) was introduced – along with additional features in the Configuration Manager – with Release 2.0 in February 1996. Release 2.1 (in June ’96) added new automated ECN construction, and Release 2.2 (October ’96) offered event notification and additional file launching options.
At the beginning of 1998, the product name was changed to Acseni (pronounced ak-SEN-ee) and, with minor enhancements, was introduced as Release 2.3.
Although Acseni's underlying data has always been Year 2000 compliant, Release 2.4 and later have been updated to display, print, and export 4-digit years. Release 2.5 is the most recent significant release, which has an upgraded user interface for Approved Vendor Lists (AVL).
All releases are based on Microsoft Access 2.0 with Jet 2.5 database engine. This is a 16-bit application.
